The 5 Step Guide to Your Self-Healing – Part 3

My Healing Story

I have been on a healing journey for 20 years, experiencing muscle weakness due to a nervous system illness.  Even after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) aka Lou Gehrig’s disease, I knew that I would find a way to heal. Over the years, I used many different techniques and learned something from each one.  However, there was no one thing that healed all the issues.  So, I created my own healing practice for healing that works for me. Through a combination of energy healing, dietary, environmental, and mindset changes, I stopped the progression of the illness many years ago.  To assist other people, I want to share what I’ve learned so that you can create a practice that works for you.

Energy Healing Strategy

My healing strategy is based on the idea that our bodies know how to heal and it’s our job is to support it.  There are many ways to support our healing, we should have a positive mindset; we should remove obstacles to healing like stress, limiting beliefs, and toxins; and increase energy both internally and externally.

The 5 Steps to Self-Healing strategy can be done with traditional and alternative treatments.

Step 4 – Increase energy from Internal Sources

The fourth step of my self-healing is to increase energy from internal sources. Even when our mindset is on track and we are in a healing state (not in stress), we may need more energy to repair.  It is possible to increase the level of healing energy in the body through meditation which also reduces stress, increases energy flow and energetic frequency.   There are many books and audios on this.

It can be as simple as sitting quietly while feeling Love and Joy with focused breath.  Quantum Touch has the same benefits as meditation, you can also use it for healing.  It works through breath work and focused intention on Love.1

Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Kundalini Yoga are also well known to increase energy and have healing benefits.

Step 5 – Increase energy from External Sources

The fifth step of my self-healing is to increase energy from external sources.  Even when our mindset is on track and we are in a healing state (not in stress), we may need more energy to repair.  The best thing to do is go outside and put your bare feet on the ground and sit in the sun.  If you can’t get outside there are ways to bring the outdoors in.  Earthing.com 2 and VibesUp 3 both bring earth energy indoors.  Many devices bring light indoors, bright light, Red, and Near-Infrared.

Being indoors around electronics and EMFs is stressful and will inhibit healing.  Since I spend a lot of time indoors, I have many tools to energize me like, light therapy, crystals, essential oils, and structured water.  I have been “structuring “my water for many years.  I have devices that use vortexing and sacred geometry.  I also filter it and use crystals and other energy healing tools.  To learn more about structured water, visit The Wellness Enterprise or the structured water page.

Last year I discovered phototherapy patches and I have experienced more improvements with the patches in energy, strength, and coordination than anything that I have ever used.  I put the patches on and I feel energized and energy opens up instantly. After using the patches for a couple of months, I felt stronger, and better able to hold my posture, move more easily, and speak more fluidly. While I have maintained mental acuity, I also notice increased cognitive agility.  I feel unstoppable.

The Daily Practice

The Daily Practice – Your daily practice should include the Inner work and external work to eliminate toxins, increase energy from nature, and using healing tools.  We are all different, so our practices will be different.

  1. A couple of times a day, or as needed, read or listen to inspiring messages.
  2. Create a Journal from Step 2, write down emotions, people and issues that trigger you.  Review it  and add any new issues, check in to see which ones need attention, and do some healing.
  3. Meditate or do Quantum Touch remembering to give yourself Love, Approval, and Gratitude.
  4. Go outside to be in nature, use energy devices, drink structured water, use essential oils.
  5. Avoid toxins in your food, water, and personal care products.

Step 2 – Emotional Energy Healing

For me, the second step of my self-healing, emotional energy healing, has been very transformational.  I am not the person that I was before.  I was so unaware of what I was experiencing in my life.  Due to insecurities and self-worth issues, I did everything that I could to not feel, like to distract and numb myself.  I was in a constant state of stress for decades.  I was heading for an illness or health issue of some kind. 

When I say emotional energy healing, I mean a method that clears or releases trauma and stress triggers. When you do that you can remain in a healing state more.  Some of the methods of emotional energy healing are Healing Codes, Emotion Code, Quantum Energy Transformation™, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), The Wonder Method, etc… Many techniques are simple to use and you can learn them from a book, audio program or you can hire a practitioner. 

Keep a journal of issues to clear or release, including but not limited to issues and people that cause you stress; past trauma; limiting beliefs to what is possible; limiting beliefs to loving yourself unconditionally. 

Due to the inner-work, I learned self-care, emotionally and physically. Now when I feel something, I feel it, acknowledge it, love it and allow it to leave.  I have spent years doing the inner work clearing trapped emotions.  I feel better about myself than I ever have.

I learned that I am lovable, I am worthy, and I deserve good things.  I don’t need anyone to give me love and approval, I can give it to myself any time that I choose.

Step 3 – Detoxify Chemicals and Heavy Metals

The third step of my self-healing is to detoxify chemicals and heavy metals, it’s important to change the diet to organic foods, use natural personal care and household cleaning products.  Also, you can eliminate toxins from the body consider using an infrared sauna and supplements.

I try to eat organic and non-GMO and use all-natural personal care and cleaning products.  People have healed using a raw food diet and Paleo, which so different that I don’t think that a particular diet is the answer.  You might want to work with a natural doctor or nutritionist to help with diet and supplements.

I use lots of vibes up.com and earthing products to protect me from EMF and cell phone radiation.

Increase Your Energy…Increase Your Ability to Heal…(Part 2)

There are so many techniques, supplements, tools and approaches to healing, the variations of healing tool combinations are unlimited. Whatever combination of healing tools that you use, they should address two issues.  They need to remove blocks to healing like stress, trauma or toxins and increase energy available for healing.

When we think about energy, there are two different types of energy and two ways to increase them.  One way to think about Energy is as the physical energy or voltage that goes into the cells to support its repair and growth and the other way is to think of Energy as consciousness.

There are also many different ways to increase energy, you can increase it from external sources or generate it internally. We can increase it externally by contact with the earth, being in nature, drinking structured water or using tools like cold laser and PEMF devices.  See prior article Part 1 for information on how to increase or generate energy internally.

Tools and practices to increase healing Energy – Externally

Contact with Nature

Go outside to be in contact with the earth and be in nature.  Put your bare feet on the earth, walk in nature, sit in the sun…

“The earth is a large electromagnet………An area of high voltage always causes electrons to flow to an area of low voltage.  If your body has a lower voltage than the earth, walking barefoot on the dirt or grass will cause electrons to flow from the earth into your body, recharging you.”1

 

Other ways to tap into the healing power of nature is to eat raw organic fruits and vegetables, drink Structured Water, use Essential Oils and use products made from nature like VibesUp or connected to the earth like Earthing.

Structured Water

I have been using a Structured Water device for many years and I would not give it up.    The devices energize the water, neutralize toxins and neutralize other negativity using sacred geometry and crystals.  Through the movement in the device, the water is returned to the state it was in nature.   Also, since you are structuring the water, there is no more waste from plastic water bottles.  There are many types of devices portable, shower, sink, whole house. Essential Oils

Essential Oils are made from plants; therefore, the oils are highly concentrated and contain the healing properties of the plants. They are very high frequency and the molecules are so small they can penetrate cell walls.  Many of them are very powerful antioxidant. VibesUp products

These products are created from things found in nature like crystals and essential oils to provide us the benefits of being in nature.  They have a high vibrational frequency, so when we are in contact with them it increases our energetic frequency.  I have been using these products for many years and I love them.

Healing Tools

There are so many healing tools available, I have used a few that I can recommend, but there are many more.

I use two, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy (PEMF) and Low-Level or Cold Laser.  Both PEMF and Cold Laser therapies assist in the creation of ATP in the cells.  Both devices have many other benefits.

Quantum Touch: The Healing Power of Love

In my quest for physical healing, I have tried many energy healing therapies and techniques.  I have been trained in several techniques and am certified in a few and most of them heal, clear and process emotional issues.  Quantum Touch was one of the first techniques that I learned and still use to increase the healing energy available and boosts the mood, but it doesn’t heal emotional issues.  The basic techniques are very easy to learn, but they are so powerful that there are an infinite number of applications you can learn and create.

I heard about Quantum Touch like I heard about most everything else, a teleseminar.  I bought the first book Quantum Touch: The Power to Heal by Richard Gordon 1 and learned the breathing, the basic technique and how to do self-healing.  Even just doing breathing and focused attention on love raises your vibrational frequency.  As I discussed in (The Frequency of Thoughts), having a frequency as high as Love is very constructive.  That alone makes learning this energy healing technique invaluable.

How to Learn Quantum Touch

To take the next step, you can take the Quantum Touch Level 1 course either online or a 2-day live training.  The online course is great if you want to use this energy healing technique on friends and family, but not if you want to be a practitioner.  The Level 1 course teaches the breathing and focused intention techniques and is for hands-on method, although it can be used for distance healing.  Richard Gordon later created QT 2.0 with which the healing energy is sent to where it is needed.  Because you don’t need to touch the area, the healing energy can be sent anywhere in space and time.  If you are able to use your hands and send the healing, the benefits may be enhanced.  This energy healing method is easier to use, more powerful and allows for more possibilities for applications.  It is best, and I believed required to take the level 1 course before level 2.0.  The level 2.0 technique is the subject of Richard’s second book Quantum Touch: The New Human.  There are also other courses to support the energy healing work like Seeing & Perceiving and Self-Creative Health which is for resolving emotional issues.  It is believed by Richard, and many of the energy healing population, that if a physical issue is chronic or returns, there is an emotional cause.

New Year’s Tips for Living – 5 Things to Do Every Day to Regain or Maintain Health and Wellness

I have spent many years searching for ways to heal my body and I came up with 5 things that I do every day that are helping me heal in every way possible.

One             Believe that Any Thing is Possible

Find things that inspire you, give you hope and teach you how to change your life.  I would have given up on life years ago, but I found books audios, courses and teleseminars that inspired and taught me how to heal my body and soul.

I have listened to many speakers, but my favorites and the ones I listen to and whose products I use are Dr. Sue Morter and Joshua Bloom.

Two            Love Yourself and Feel Love

One of the most important skills that I have learned is to feel truly loved without looking for someone else to do it.   Imagine what it would feel like to be loved or feel the love you feel for someone or something and give it to you and your body.  Do it completely and OFTEN.

Healing from ALS: Healing using Holistic Methods

torc-waterfallThe healing strategy that I use to heal from ALS is to heal the blocks to healing, like stress, trauma and beliefs and then to add energy from nutrition, nature and energy healing.  I believe the most important aspect of my strategy, the thing that helped me stop and reverse the progression of the ALS, is healing sources of stress and emotional trauma.  Our bodies know how to heal and repair, but they aren’t able to do so when they are in stress, see Causes of Illness for more on this.  Then you must add the energy and nutrition to help the body repair and re-build itself.  We know that being in nature and eating healthy foods helps the body heal, but you also need to protect yourself from toxins and electricity in your environment to keep your body strong.    I use Earthing, VibesUP and other products to protect and energize myself.  Also, good water is incredibly important, so I only drink structured water.  I am still learning what I should eat and what nutritional supplements to take that would best help my body heal from ALS.

Late in 2013, I met a woman named Patricia (Tish) Tamowski, who with her husband Alan Scott Douglass, are producing a book and a film about people who have stopped, reversed and are healing from ALS using holistic methods.  I am learning what some of the other people who are healing are doing and I have incorporated a few of them into my strategy and am very pleased with my continued progress.

I am very excited about the book and the film.  I think about how my life would have been different if the information we will share had been available in 2002, when I was diagnosed.  Of course, knowing the techniquesPistyll_Rhaeadrand supplements that are helping people heal from ALS would have been useful, but also just knowing that people are healing would have been a source of inspiration and hope.  Patricia and Scott were just in Southern California, where they interviewed and filmed me and several doctors, who are successfully helping people heal from ALS using holistic methods.  We will be raising money to produce the documentary film called Healing ALS using Indiegogo.com, a crowd funding platform.  We haven’t launched yet, but here is a preview of the campaign.

Tish has been a great source of information since she speaks with all the people who will be in the film and book.  Since all the people use different diets, supplements and other techniques, there isn’t a set list, but there are many different things that are helping us heal.  I am trying new supplements and am currently going towards a Paleo diet.  At this point, I eliminated grain (except some whole rice), I am reducing sugar and dairy.  I just signed up for an online course called Self Care Solutions for Radiant Health by Dr. Robyn Benson, who is a doctor of Chinese Medicine.  I know I will learn much in the course, but I also think it is very important to be part of a group who believe in holistic healing.

torc-waterfall-kerryI do many things to continue to heal from ALS, I spend time in meditation and do Quantum Touch.  I have been trained in Quantum Touch, which is an energy healing technique and I use it to increase the healing energy in my body and to loosen muscle tightness and re-build muscle after more than a decade of atrophy.  I am still using the emotional hearing work of Access Consciousness and Release Technique.  This all may sound like a lot, but much of it has become an easy and joyful part of my life.  I will continue living this way even when my body has been completely rehabilitated.  If there is a hard part, it is the time it takes to learn what you have to learn to turn your life around.  I hope that the book and film give people hope and information about all the powerful holistic tools that can help them heal from ALS.  See tab for My Favorites for the technique and resources that i use.

Ways to Heal: Energy Healing, Alternative Healing and Lifestyle choices

pierresI recently connected with a wonderful woman named Patricia who has a website called Health Advocates Worldwide.1  The website is designed to educate people on how to heal from disease.  Patricia interviewed many people who have and are healing from disease, including ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).  She prepared letters summarizing all the things that people use to heal.  Reading the letters got me thinking.  Some people take lots of supplements; some give up gluten and/or dairy; some pray and visualize; some use energetic clearing tools; some go to healers and people have healed from all of them.

So, I don’t believe that there is only ONE way to HEAL.

Healing comes when you eliminate blocks to healing like stress and limiting believes and increase the energy or voltage in the cells.

Healing Energy

One aspect of healing comes when you increase the healing energy in your body.  Healing energy, chi, Prana, etc… comes in many different ways; it comes from the earth, nature, food and water; it comes by changing your thoughts through prayer, meditation or consciousness raising techniques; it comes from devices like low-level lasers / other frequency raising machines and energy healing techniques like Quantum Touch and Reiki.  We are all different and different techniques will appeal to us and work better for us.  We will be happier using certain techniques and will be more likely to stick with the ones that appeal to us.  As an example, I love Earthing, structured water, breath work, quantum touch, Quantumwave laser and consciousness techniques like Release Technique and Access Consciousness.  I eat pretty healthy, often vegetarian and organic, but I eat meat a couple times a week and I eat gluten and dairy and I don’t take many supplements.

I bought a book once that was all how to eat to heal and I only made it a few pages, I would have to give up too many things and I am really into food.  I did make many lifestyle changes after learning the importance of maintaining a healthy pH after reading Healing is Voltage by Jerry L. Tennant.  Because of what I learned, I made changes in my diet and I use Earthing, VibesUp products and I drink ionized and/or structured water to increase the resources available for my body to heal.  See the article about pH.

Many energy healing technique work based on the idea that once you clear/transmute energetic blocks and sources of stress, your body   heals.  These techniques include Healing Codes, Christie Sheldon’s techniques, Release Technique and Access Consciousness.  I have spent a lot of time using these tools and attribute much of my healing to their use.  Other people may have gotten the same result from religion and prayer.

Your Body

Another thing that I have learned is that we are not our bodies, we are in our bodies.  Release Technique and Access Consciousness taught me the importance of treating my body with kindness and love and to learn to listen to my body.  For the decades before I noticed any symptoms, I was very critical of my body and truly unkind even though for the outside I looked very fit.  I did not eat nutritious food, was unhappy,   insecure and under a tremendous amount of internal stress.  It took me many years of research, study and application of what I’ve learned to get where I am now.  I am happier, more at peace and treat my body with love and kindness.  I still have rehabilitation to do but I have learned to love myself and my body the way it is.

I will continue to use the tools I’ve discovered even when I have fully recovered to maintain health, love and happiness.  My favorite tools right  now are Quantum Touch, Earthing, structured water, Access Consciousness and Dr. Sue Morter’s Body Awake work.  See my last article for more information on My Latest Healing Strategy.  I am always learning and trying new things; what started out as a way to heal myself turned into my life’s passion.  From what I have heard and read, when people heal/recover from a serious illness they evolve and become more conscious and happier with themselves and life.  I plan to share what I have learned to help people and work as a Healing Coach.  I hope   my writing helps you and your body heal.

My Latest Energy Healing Strategy

Pistyll_RhaeadrI was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) years ago.  After years of research and trying many therapies, I learned how to develop a strategy of techniques and therapies that are helping my body heal.  I use many energy healing techniques and natural healing therapies.  While I am not completely healed, I am walking, moving and talking better than I have in years.  I am also building muscle and getting stronger.  I am always trying new things, so my healing strategy is always changing.  Since I am building muscle, my focus now includes physical rehabilitation and agility.

If I had to attribute my success to one thing it would be that I never gave up and always believed that I would find a way to heal.  Everything I am doing in my energy healing strategy has the goal of eliminating stress, increasing the healing energy in my body and increasing the energy or voltage in the cells.

Clear or Release Sources of Stress

I have learned so much over the past five years and if I could go back, knowing what I know now, the first thing I would do to heal would be to reduce the internal and external stress in my life.  In the (Causes of Illness) post, I discuss the work of Dr. Bruce Lipton, in his book The Biology of Belief he proves that a cell cannot be stressed and heal at the same time.

Our bodies know how to heal and are always trying to heal, but if we have physical, emotional, external and internal stress it stops or limits healing.  I have tried many techniques to relieve stress and clear limiting beliefs, but the ones I use are:

There are many energy healing techniques that increase healing energy to reduce pain and produce repair.  I use Quantum Touch all the time.  I started with the books, did online training for Level 1 and then attended live seminars for Levels 1 and 2.0.  I would start with the books, you could learn how to do it on other people and on yourself.

As I discussed in the (pH and Electron) post, maintaining a pH in the healthy range, gives your cells the building blocks for repair and healing.  The best things to do to maintain the proper pH is to walk barefoot on the earth, drink water from a moving body of water and eat food grown from earth in its natural state.  The earth, plants and water from a stream contains electrons and when you touch, eat or drink these things they give you the resources for healing that you may be missing.  In our modern life this isn’t always possible to be in nature and eat the right foods, but here are things that you can do to give your body healing energy.

  • Drink alkaline water either with a water Ionizer or pH drops.
  • Eat an alkaline diet, organic foods when possible and often vegetarian.  I drink fruit and vegetables juice daily.
  • Immediately after the ALS diagnosis, I had all the mercury fillings removed.

I have noticed a significant improvement in my body since I started using my energy healing strategy with the tools and techniques described above.  I believe a healing strategy should address all aspects of you, physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic.

The techniques and tools I mentioned above are the things I use and I use them daily.  Don’t get discouraged if you get tired and need to rest, that means your body is repairing.

Energy Healing: The Power of Quantum Touch

hand-heartIn my quest for physical healing, I have tried many energy healing therapies and techniques.  I went so far as to enroll in practitioner training for several them, but Quantum Touch is the cornerstone of my energy healing strategy.  The basic techniques are very easy to learn, but it is so powerful that there are an infinite number of applications you can learn and create.

I heard about Quantum Touch like I heard about most everything else, a teleseminar.  I bought the first book Quantum Touch: The Power to Heal by Richard Gordon 1 and learned the breathing, the basic technique and how to do self-healing.  Even just doing breathing and focused attention on love raises your vibrational frequency.  As I discussed in (The Frequency of Thoughts), having a frequency as high as Love is very constructive.  That alone makes learning this energy healing technique invaluable.

How to Learn Quantum Touch

To take the next step, you can take the Quantum Touch Level 1 course either online or a 2-day live training.  The online course is great if you want to use this energy healing technique on friends and family, but not if you want to be a practitioner.  The Level 1 course teaches the breathing and focused intention techniques and is for hands-on method, although it can be used for distance healing.  Richard Gordon later created QT 2.0 with which the healing energy is sent to where it is needed.  Because you don’t need to touch the area, the healing energy can be sent anywhere in space and time.  If you are able to use your hands and send the healing, the benefits may be enhanced.  This energy healing method is easier to use, more powerful and allows for more possibilities for applications.  It is best, and I believed required to take the level 1 course before level 2.0.  The level 2.0 technique is the subject of Richard’s second book Quantum Touch: The New Human.  There are also other courses to support the energy healing work like Seeing & Perceiving and Self-Creative Health which is for resolving emotional issues.  It is believed by Richard, and many of the energy healing population, that if a physical issue is chronic or returns, there is an emotional cause.
