Energy Healing Techniques to Release Stress – EFT and Theta Healing (Part 2)


As I discussed in the Causes of Illness post, stress is a significant cause of illness.  Some believe 75% – 90% of illnesses are because of stress, or, at the least, stress contributed to the illness.  I want to continue the discussion on how to use energy healing to release/clear stress, trauma, blocks and limiting beliefs.  I learned about EFT just before Theta Healing.  I used both together, I used EFT by myself but I worked with a certified practitioner for Theta Healing.  I will go into Meta Medicine and The Release Technique in Part 3 and 4 of the Releasing series.

I think EFT is a fabulous energy healing tool and easy to learn and use.  You can use for anything, whenever you feel stress as an example, from public speaking, relationship or health issues you can tap them away.  In Attracting Abundance with EFT by Carol Look, Carol describes how EFT works.

“The tapping on these designated points on the face and body is combined with verbalizing the identified problem (or target) followed by a general affirmation phrase.  Combining these ingredients of the EFT technique balances the energy system and appears to relieve psychological stress and physiological pain.  Restoring the balance of the energy system allows the body and mind to resume their natural healing abilities.”1

See the last sentence, once you balance your energy system when think about your problem you have released or cleared the issue and your body resumes its healing.  Some find this cumbersome and intimidating because of all the set-up phrases.  It is easy to learn, just keep at it, even if you don’t do it perfectly, it helps.  There is a technique called Simple Energy Technique developed by Steve Wells which is really easy, see website below.2

Unlike EFT, Theta Healing is not easy to learn, so very difficult to do on your own.  It requires intuitive (physic) ability, which can be developed, but that takes time and practice.  There are many qualified practitioners which can be found through their directory, see below.3

I felt relief from stress in general and related to specific events or issues from all these techniques.  There were certain events that when I thought about them my heart would race or I would get a sinking feeling in my stomach (STRESS).  After using these energy healing techniques, I can think about the issue I remember the event but the stress was gone.  The emotion behind the event is gone, the trapped feelings/emotions have been cleared or released.

Both EFT and Theta Healing, as well as any energy healing technique, can be done remotely, so telephone or Skype work well.  There are so many energy healing therapies that work to release the stress/trauma or energetic blocks so your body heals itself.  I will discuss Meta Medicine, and The Release Technique in my next posts.  As I have said, I believe that this component of my healing strategy had the most impact to my healing, but you need to pick the one that’s best for you.
